The first weekend in March 2009, I participated in a Rio Rewards PMC Certification
work with PMC. No, you do not have to be certified. I took the class because I wanted
to learn more techniques and hone my PMC skills. I also couldn't pass up a class that
was so close to home and that was being taught by Tim McCreight, who was the first
learned anywhere else and certification gives me support for teaching PMC.
The class was fast paced - teaching and testing us on seven different projects. Some
of the projects had to be made to exact specifications, while with others we were
granted some artistic license. At the end of the three-day class, Tim McCreight
reviewed our pieces, determining that we met the standards set by the PMC Guild in
several skill areas. Click on the thumbnails below for more information on the making of
that piece.
